announces Katrina Reforms
WBUR - Here and Now
Monday, February 13, 2006
A new House report criticizes the government's response to Hurricane
Katrina. Two other reports from the Government Accountability Office
and the Department of Homeland Security's Office of Inspector General
show that the Federal Emergency Management Agency wasted millions of
dollars in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.?
All
these reports showing government ineptitude have Homeland Security Secretary
Michael Chertoff on the hot seat as he announced a series of reforms
in a press conference on Monday.
