The International Panel on Climate Change reports that the "warming of the climate system is unequivocal." However, the extent of its impact will depend on how we as a world respond to the challenge. A scientists, engineers, academics, writers, students, and citizens we all have something to offer to the effort to understand, mitigate, and adapt to climate change, no matter what our field of study. The MIT Focus on Climate Change symposium aims to highlight the connection between climate change and the academics and research in departments across the institute.
