Stacie Cassat Green wants to see students creating with rather than consuming technology, so she works as an educator, curriculum developer, online course producer, tool designer, and workshop facilitator to help that happen. Green teaches two classes in the Educational Technologies Program at Harvard Extension School, and has just finished building a social networking and eportfolio site for the students and alumni there. As the principal of her consulting group, 64 Crayons, she has produced numerous online courses for PBS Teacherline, Department of Defense Education Activity, Louisiana Department of Education, and the Massachusetts Department of Education. She has developed a summer camp curriculum designed to engage at-risk children in actively creating technology-rich products. While at Bolt, Beranek & Newman (BBN), Green designed and directed the development of a web-based product to support educators involved in comprehensive school reform. This product was later purchased by Dell Computers. |
