    As part of your preparation for the Prospectus and Final Term Paper for this course you should prepare a "Statement of Research Intent." You are to submit this statement in class and online no later than the end of class in the 7th Week of term -- that is, on

    This "Statement" should consist of a provisional title for your paper and a brief indication of one or two paragraphs, describing what it is you intend to investigate. You can think of the statement as a preliminary "abstract" or summary description of what you will be undertaking in your research and developing in your Prospectus and eventual research paper.
